JUDr. Zlatica Môciková

Registered in the List of Advocates of the Slovak Bar Association under the Registration No.: 4429

Graduated from the Comenius University in Bratislava, Faculty of Law where she studied in the years 1968 -1973 and  as The  Masterly Doctor in law in 1974.

As a lawyer she has gained 35 years of professional experience in the field of Intellectual Property since 1973. Until the year 1993 she was in the lead of the team of legal experts dealing with preparation and implementation of licensing agreements with international publishers for the OPUS Records and Publishing House. She represented the OPUS Company, the biggest Slovak publishing house, in international business relations in the preparation and implementation of international agreements for rental of recording studio facilities and production of recordings. She also represented the above mentioned publishing house at the MIDEM International Music Industry Trade Fair in Cannes, France for 11 years.

From 1991 to 1993, JUDr. Zlatica Môciková, as one of the signatory lawyers of the newly established Association of Producers of Phonograms and Performing Artists, led the agenda of marking up the draft of new Copyright Act and was in charge of labour relations of artists and recovery of royalties.

In 1992 she represented the Slovak Republic at the United States Department of State in Washington D.C. in International Copyright Matters for Central and Eastern European Countries’ Consortium.
She was the member of the legislative group for the preparation of new Copyright Act.
JUDr. Zlatica Môciková has been performing her independent legal practice since 1993, in the area of civil and commercial law. She is an attorney representing the Slovak Radio and Slovak Television in the matters concerning drawing up and marking up of contracts with authors and performing artists, in the field of contact preparation for with collecting rights societies, in the Legal Affairs Committee of the European Broadcasting Union in Geneve, Switzerland (EBU) in the matters of copyright, Labour Law and in implementation of new technology in media.
